HOLA,

Nova García at age 1 with her father in Laredo, Texas.
AUTHOR NOVA GARCIA hails from Laredo, Texas. Her Mexican-American family is a source of great pride. Her favorite childhood memory is singing with her father as he played traditional Mexican love songs on his guitar. Family parties were epic with an army of rowdy kids running around, music, boisterous card games and home-cooked food such as fajitas, guacamole, tortillas and charro beans and buñuelos.

Nova’s career took a few turns, from call center management and nonprofit leadership to Human Resources training and development at a Fortune 50 company. Not That Kind of Call Girl is her first book in the women’s fiction genre.

Nova writes with a higher purpose. She features a strong and spunky Latina protagonist in Not That Kind of Call Girl. She writes to dispel Latino stereotypes and recognize women for the everyday miracles they make possible with determination, smarts and a generous helping of kick-a** attitude. She knows postpartum depression first-hand and wants women around the world to know they’re not alone.

Besides writing, Nova cooks, bakes, watches her beloved Seattle Seahawks and sings in a local band. She is available for book club talks and public speaking engagements.
